Three fun party particulars (in no particular order of importance):
- In the summer of 1966, the Swingin' Medallions' sent the salacious song "Double Shot (of My Baby's Love)" to #17 on the US pop charts.
- This party pounder's legacy stretches across both Carolinas: the Swingin' Medallions were based out of up-to-no-good Greenwood, South Carolina while they actually greased this guzzler to wax in Charlotte, North Carolina at Arthur Smith's Studio.
- Greg Haynes, author of the Heeey Baby Days of Beach Music compendium, when asked his top 3 fave party pounders of the 1960s replied, "1) 'Double Shot of My Baby’s Love' 2) 'Double Shot of My Baby’s Love' 3) 'Double Shot of My Baby’s Love.'"
never hungover, baby!
